CLERK OF THE COURSE POSTPONES SATURDAY'S SUPERBIKE RACE DUE TO LACK OF PRACTICE TIME FOR COMPETITORS

31st May 2013
Isle of Man TT Races Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson, MBE, has taken the decision to postpone Saturday's Dainese Superbike race due to a lack of practice and qualifying time for competitors.

The poor weather earlier in the week resulted in the Monday's and Wednesday's qualifying sessions being untimed with Tuesday's cancelled.

Gary Thompson commented: "Even before the house fire that affected this evening's session, the majority of the field simply hasn't had enough practice time on the Superbikes because of the bad weather earlier in the week. On behalf of the race organisation I'd like to apologise to anyone affected by the disruption on Sunday but we don't have an option. We will endeavour to get the roads open again on Sunday as soon as possible."

The revised schedule for the weekend is now as follows:
